Instead of reading everything else below you could stop after the next sentence.  All I care about is art and my family.

Let me tell you a little about myself.  I am from Rome, GA where I grew up and went to high school.  It was there around the age of 4 or 5 that I first took an interest in artwork and taught myself to paint using a box of oils, acrylics, and paintbrushes my uncle gave me by watching William Alexander on TV.

I recall seeing the work of Yves Tanguy in a book in The Sara Hightower library when I was about 9 years old.  Regardless of not knowing who he was or what Surrealism is that moment would change my life down the road.
I moved to New Orleans with some friends around the age of 19, another life changing event that I'll save for an autobiography some day.
Currently I live in Gwinnett County, GA with my wife, dog, and cat.  I am a computer programmer  (gotta pay the bills) but when I'm not working I am painting, drawing, or driving my wife crazy with such questions as "Do you like this one?" or "Do you really like this one?"
So as with many other artists I hope to be doing this full time in the not too distant future for the simple fact that I have new ideas faster than I can put them on paper or canvas and if I were creating artwork for those 8 hours a day I could at least bring the new idea tide down to a low roar.  When having a limited amount of time to devote to my artwork it seems that more often than not what lands on the canvas is something I thought of just at that moment and the many journals of ideas I have laying around never see the light of day and I am hoping to find the time to bring those many ideas to light.
